You guys are lucky to be getting the new GS I have a 99 GS400 and I love it. After seeing the new GS at the Chicago Auto show this year I felt like i stepped into a better designed 7 series.

its probably in your area, the list where i live is around 12 people and that was feb 1st when i talked to my sales rep. so they covered everyone on the list within 2 weeks of receiving their first gs.

I second that.... here in TX, the dealers aren't budging from MSRP yet

We just bought an F Sport AWD yesterday. The dealer wouldn't budge on MSRP ($58,997), but we got the conquest $1,500 rebate (no hoops to jump through), free tinting and clear bra, free 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 mile services, and $1,000 off the 7 year/75,000 mile extended warranty.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for the 7 yr/75k mile warranty? I had looked at purchasing the Lexus Platinum ($0 deductible) 7yr 75k mile warranty from the dealership where I had purchased it for my ES, and got the quote for $1370. Just trying to see if cheaper rates are available elsewhere.

I hear ya I think I'm gonna wait till summer as well. Hopefully, dealers will be willing to sell closer to invoice by then.

(hopefully by then, there will be some more details on the new ES as well - I may end up going for that instead! *gasp*) <-- wait.. did I just say that out loud in a GS forum? oops!

I like the exterior styling (compared to the current ES), but the interior on the GS appears to be better - though it will probably look better in other colors
(plus they are calling this the ES250 - I guess it will be a different model in the US, but I bet the int/ext styling will be very similar to what's shown here)

Sorry, didn't mean to derail this GS conversation related thread ...

the interior of es is supposed to be a step down from gs, but i think the exterior is bold and better executed than the gs. if you care more about inside, gs will likely win. if you care about plushy ride, es will likely win

LOL! Sadly, I care both about the interior and the plushy/comfy ride... That's the dilemma
The GS is pretty good on both the fronts (well, not as plushy as the ES, but pretty good nonetheless) - the question holding me back from the GS is the question of whether the price is worth it (for me).

I'll just have to convince myself to wait patiently till summer - hopefully by then, they will have better/official pictures/specs/pricing for the ES, and the GS prices would have stabilized.

This is sad - I am usually a VERY impulsive buyer - I bought my current ES after 2 hours of first sitting in it - after walking out of a Jag showroom. Now, I'm so torn between the GS (and 528) and the new ES!! I "want" the GS, but the practical part of me is telling me to wait for the ES - ugh!

<<just ignore me - I'm rambling>>

2013 ES pics are out on the ES forum. The interior looks a lot like the GS and so does the back end.

Back erne is nothing like the gs. Its soft and Buick like. Gs looks sharper.
