Default Lease Rates

Does anyone have the lease rates for this car? I know it is 63% residual for 3 years but do not know the money factor rate. Will the residual drop next month if I want to get the GS next month? I was told that it will drop to 58% for 3 years after first month. So pretty much you will be paying more in lease next month. What about invoice? Kbb, edmunds, and truecar do not have it posted yet and my dealer is selling them today.

no idea on lease rate. but i guess it also depends on your cap cost. you will be paying msrp more than likely in the first month. a month later if you can get discount, that will help the lease

tough call i guess

Lease rates when a new model is launched are always bad.

I had a friend who bought an E Class in the first quarter when it was launched, and now he's listed on swap a lease, and even with the 7% Euro-delivery discount, his lease rate is way above the rate for more recent leases.

Lexus leases are equally bad. When the HS first came out it was leasing for quite a bit more than an ES. Now it leases at a discount.

My guess is you will be paying an extra 200-300 a month if you lease this month, versus say signing a lease in July.

So I received a call from a Lexus dealer tonight .. apparenty there is a 66% residual on a 36 month / 12K per year lease. He also mentioned of a $1500 credit if you own a MB or BMW.

will they lower the mileage, for a better residual...I only drive about 7500/year....don't need 15000 miles.

Definitely.

You add 2% to residual for 12k/year. You add 5% to residual for 10k/year. I doubt any lower than 10k is offered.

very interesting. seems like this time around lexus isn't waiting and going to come right out and start biting. good move! umm, i do have a s550...

and looking at the residuals, i am quite surprise. they are pretty darn high. can the car really sustain that depreciation over the years? but regardless, this is great news on lease. 72% residual on 2 yrs with 15k/yr, that's very very high. seems like this time around lexus is very reason to push out some nice lease deals and fight with bmw / mb

Simply Lexus has experience and reputation with previous cars, why something should change? When W212 was out, residual was same high as for previous generation. People still trust to Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW. I tried leasing other makes, and residual so low, so it makes lease more expensive than getting loan for purchase. I was quoted for A6 more than I would pay for S550. Ridiculous.

If my dealer will agree to 2yr 10K mile per at 77% residual....I'm jumping all over that.

it's all a game, you just have to play the numbers and see what's best. sometimes lease is better, sometimes not

My local dealer sent me their promotion on a 2013 GS350 AWD.

MSRP: 55,407 - $599 x 36 months with TDAS: $4,624 + Tax & Tags.

So that about $730 + tax a month with nothing down.

I am not an expert at this but $599/month with $4,624 down doesn't seem like a great deal.

730 a month on a 55k car, so-so deal. but for first month of a new car debut, somewhat reasonable i guess
