Default RUMINT: GS-F Coming...

Went to Lexus for service on my 3GS today and was talking with my service advisor about the LFA and he told me just wait until the GS-F comes out. I was like "WHAT???!!". He told me that Lexus is making it and it will have a higher tuned version of the IS-F motor. He is not a higher up in the Lexus organization... I understand this... but he was absolutely confident in his comments when he talked to me about it. Taking it with a grain of salt, but that is promising news.

There will be no GS-F anytime soon. The new GS has to be a massive hit and from what I have seen and read, it looks like it will be a "lukewarm" seller.

The GS-F needs to be a massive success for any chance of an F.

More anti-Lexus commentary. The fact of the matter is Lexus is looking to expand their F-sport and F marques and are not worried about people posing as others on the internet with no intent of purchasing the vehicle.

Actually, the facts are Lexus has had some flops of late. The new GS is not guarantee to be a sales success

I'm willing to bet cash it sells no better than the 3GS.

Lexus intends to sell 24k the first year, a lower sales target than in 2006. Its not the same sales goal FYI.

The 3GS sold pretty well until 2009 or so and sales fell fast.

Which is all the more reason why I simply cannot see a Lexus GS-F if the sales don't exceed 24k.

We have to remember that Lexus cancelled the normal V8 for this model.

Seriously? What is the point of an F if your not even going to sell a normal V8 when you had a V8 in previous generations.

My thoughts are that the F is on hold until Lexus reviews early sales.

The facts are Lexus has far more success than flops but you have yet to mention any since all your posts are negative toward Toyota/Lexus.. The facts are the IS F is the only car in its class from Asia and it has done remarkably well. The facts are the LFA is one of the greatest cars ever made according to experts and by far the greatest car from Asia. The facts are they are setting the tone for an expanded F marque.

That is b/c you can't see anything and your opinion it taken here with the weight of a proton.

Why don't you tell Cadillac or Audi not to sell a V-8 or V-10 super sedan without a normal V-8 in their cars. Since they do just that with the CTS-V and S6 etc.

Obvious _____ is Obvious.

I'm sure the GS-F is on hold and if sales don't do well, we'll see only a GSh going forward.

This is just my opinion.
