Lexus GS - Drive Mode Select
Here is some video footage I took at SEMA earlier this month in the 2013 GS 350 F SPORT.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sMgWn6ZpZY
There are 4 modes in the GS 350 F SPORT that was at SEMA, theres ECO, NORMAL, SPORT & SPORT+
Like the CT, when you're driving in Normal or Eco modes, blue illuminates the speedo cluster and the drive mode selector switch. When you switch into SPORT and SPORT+ mode, the speedo cluster turns red, and the backlight of the drive mode selector also turns red ala CT. Unlike the CT, there is no overhead RED/BLUE illumination coming from the overhead sunroof control/Safety Connect cluster. There is an LCD display in the speedo cluster that reads the gear and drive mode you are in. The LCD readout is animated so each mode comes up animated.
In SPORT & SPORT+ the animated readout displays on the 12.3" Information Screen and tells you what changes between SPORT & SPORT+. Sport is basically ECT PWR or ECT SPORT (ISF & CT) where the shift pattern and steering response are enhanced. SPORT+ works in conjunction with the AVS to tighten up the dampening of the suspension. FINALLY!
There are 4 selectable drive modes (3 on those models without AVS)
ECO = For increased fuel economy, lesser throttle response, climate settings are optimized for better efficiency.
NORM = Normal operation mode.
SPORT = Increased throttle response, quicker gear shifts, Speedo cluster glows an ambient red (a la CT 200h)
SPORT + = Increased shock dampening and tighter steering feel.
