I just registered as I just picked up a new 2014 GS350 F Sport awd in Nebula Gray Pearl with Cabernet interior. Pretty loaded with BSM with folding mirrors,Mark Levinson Premium sound,
Navigation,Intuitive Park Assist,Illuminated Door Sills,Trunk Mat, Cargo Net,wheel locks and Rear Bumper App. It replaced my wife's 1998 Imperial Jade Green GS400. This the old one.

Just bought my first Lexus yesterday.

1. GS 350 F Sport
2. Liquid Platinum / Cabernet
3. Nav / Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Tint the windows possibly 20% all around
7. Also considered a Camry, Subaru Legacy and IS 350. This is an addition to a 2002 Honda Accord V6 coupe and a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ.

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I just purchased our 2013 GS 350 F sport from another member on here who was leasing it, he drove it all the way from Southern California to Northern California to make the deal happen. We love the car, we felt it was much more luxurious to drive than the BMW's and Audi's, although it did lack power/some of the excitement.

1. 2013 GS350 F sport
2. Starfire Pearl/Black
3. Navigation with Mark Levinson
4. RWD
5. Dynamic Rear Steer
6. At this time no planned mods, maybe black out the front grill area as I've seen
7. Looked at BMW 5 series, Audi A4/A6, Bmw Z4, BMW 335i, Lexus IS. Car is replacing a 2001 Honda civic we have had for 10+ years.

big shout out to Rudiculous from CL for making this happen! great honest guy!

S was an amazing car, and not too expensive to own when you run a depreciation model. The main determinant was we are renting and couldn't arrange for power for the car. The interior doesn't really reach GS levels of refinement and the touchscreen is cool but annoying if that is how you do everything.

I keep going back and forth. Agree with all your points. I'm also tempted by the S because of the interior volume and rear facing seats because we have 3 small kids.

There are also a ton of awesome features (like sending map locations from your phone to the Tesla) and tons of missing features - no adaptive cruise control...

The nice thing about Tesla, and this is where they blow away Lexus, is service and upgradeability. This is what should really concern Lexus rather than the fact they are electric.
  1. It may not scale in the future, but they have flown out techs to diagnose problems and fix them on the spot and just offer a level of service that blows away anything else.
  2. They continually upgrade existing cars to be better for free through software
  3. They will let you upgrade your car to the current model with current improvements relatively easily
  4. And they even come out with improvements to much older models (e.g. they announced a 400 mile battery pack for the roadster)

Contrast that to purchasing from my local Lexus dealer which was a mediocre experience by any measurement of service except that of the auto industry.

I did 20% on 4 doors/back window and 50% on the windshield - huber optix film. With the factory tint, the car has become very dark - almost difficult to see out on a dark night. I rarely drive at night, so am loving the tint! But it's difficult to see into the car, even in Colorado sun. I will photo when my car is in the sun.

Default Audi S5 '09 to Lexus GS350 AWD

I bought the Audi S5 2 months ago: awesome power and V8 growl . But every time I drove the car, I always had this feeling that something was going to break: squeaking windows every time I opened them, the car felt like the parts were just glued weakly together, always hesitant to rev the car close to the redline since there was the fear of finding out that the carbon build up will soon show up with a hesitation/CEl.

So, traded it in for the GS 350 AWD. Car feels very solid and reliable, feels rich inside and there is enough power and enjoy the V6 growl.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm glad to be back to the Lexus family (owned a 97 LX 450 and 2003 GX 460 in the past).

Thanks for this forum. Learned a lot about the GS before purchasing it.

Hello everyone,
Just checking in after buying my first Lexus.

1. 2014 GS 350 F-Sport
2. Liquid Platinum / Black
3. Nav / No ML
4. RWD
5. DRS
6. Already tinted 35% all around. Working on installing a clear bra, but already put a scratch (road debris) on the front bumper. Trying to sort that out before going forward.
7. I’m coming from a 2008 Infiniti M35s and was considering the Infiniti Q70s, but just wasn’t loving the design, and especially the harsh ride/road noise of Infiniti’s altogether. The Lexus filled those voids and and more!
