Default Shed Some Light

I've been searching about the 1st Gen AT-MT swap. Most of what I read is either "Did they come with a MT?" and "You can do anything with money" I'm just curious if anyone has any infromation. I was thinking of ordering a 1jz clip (say Chaser) what if I used that tranny and ecu and harness' and the pedal master cylinder and slave cylinder. Would this work? Anything i'm forgetting?

Thanks!!!

Sorry, man. I don't think anyone in the 1st gen forum has done the AT-MT swap, but I believe the SC300 has the same drivetrain and there is a lot of info over in that forum. They've done an SC300 AT-to MT (five speed), and also swapped in the Supra getrag 6 speed tranny, too, although that involves a lot more work. I think there is a FAQ about it on someone's website, maybe forum member 'Angel' I'm not quite sure.

Anyway, I would look into those two options first before I swapped out the engine. Good luck!!
