1993 GS300 w/ the best looking 11 year paint job I have ever seen !!!
~112,000, just picked it up last month.
-Replaced trunk struts
-A little wind noise around the driver's door seal
-Instrument needles are starting to flicker
-Distributor O-ring starting to leak (I get to change that this week)
-Bought new Lexus floor mats
-Viper alarm just installed
-Uhhhh, and that's it !! I must say, I am quite impressed with this 12 yr old ride.

I have a 1996 GS 300 with roughly 88,000 miles. I'm waiting to trade it in for the third generation GS 430. I will actually sell the GS on my own and then purchase the thrid generation GS 430. This weekend I'll give her a wash and give her a coat of Zaino and post some pics.

93 with 93k
My only OEM part issues since '96 have been 2 broken power window motors, bad battery terminal connection, rusty looking rear rotors, squeaky brakes, a loose door speaker wire, and a snapped moonroof cable (big $$ to fix). Lexus fixed most of it all under warranty. Otherwise no real major problems for a few years now (other than my wife closing the garage door on it...twice....and scarring my rear bumper). I will probably keep it until my son is ready to turbo it!!!

Just bought my 93 on March 30th of this year with 206k on it. Just flipped over 211k and going strong.. I'm not easy on it but the first 200k miles must have been light ones..LOL
Nice to hear that the driver's side trim wind noise is common.. it was pissing me off a tad.. now I'll just buy the trim piece new and get rid of it.
Let's see.. cupholder is broken, was when I bought it. Now, It is helpfull at guilt tripping passengers as a joke.."dude..you broke my car!!!"
Rear passenger side window didnt work when I bought it either.. took the panel off and found the regulator laying inside the door in pieces.. the prev owner had just unplugged it. Also "neglected" to mention that it didnt work and I had to go buy the car on a rainy day, so I didnt try. Still no biggie.
The front brake rotors were warped and the passenger rear caliper was almost locked up, I already had ordered the new brakes for it as soon as I bought the car anyway.. for the power I'm looking to make the brake upgrades were a given.
In no way am I unhappy with the car though.. for the price I paid it is exactly what I wanted.. a car with a good body. And the fact that the current motor runs so well is just a bonus.
Here she is..

You guys with the 1st gen GS300's seem to like to drive a lot I wish they sold those here in Australia, would be the perfect business car for me (I'm on the road for most of the day, usually with passengers).
Anyway, I'm another from the SC clan (but I drive a Soarer )...
93 Toyota Soarer twin turbo, no butt warmers, no electronic steering wheel, no airbag suspension nor leather .... just under 160000kms and still going strong, hasn't skipped a beat! No problems with the engine, not even turbo worries (no smoke, no whining noises), only thing I wish it had was leather seats!

My '94 GS300 has 135k and going strong. I have normal maladies - broken cup holder, cracked console wood, but otherwise the car has been relatively trouble free other than a faulty window regulator and intermittant TRAC lindicator malfunction. My car is completely stock, but has all options except for the factory phone and Nak stereo.
I am relatively new to the forum - so I just wanted to take the opportunity to post. This forum has been a great resource so far!

I have a Gold 94 GS with about 216,000 miles on the chassis. The motor has alot less than that. I believe around 50-60,000. Not sure since the motor is out of an Aristo. The only problems i have with the car itself is the lights above the rear passengers heads won't stay in the slots all the time.

1993 Diamond Pearl White (i think that's what it's called) with 160K miles on it. Has all the common problems:
-cracked console (fixed)
-cloudy headlamps (brake fluid clears them up nicely)
-driver's side wind noise (JB weld and silicon fixed it for the most part)
-dead trunk struts (fixed)
-locked up rear caliper (that was a !&*% )
-Altenator went out at 158K (fairly easy to replace)
-moister in the trunk (God, I hope the AMP doesn't fry)
-Antenna died (fixed, although no it makes a weird noise for about 10sec after the car is turned off)
-Driver side rear speaker connection broke at the connector in the pillar (that was a real pain to isolate and fix)
-Sunroof wind noise (does anybody know if the gasket can be replaced?)
-Had to re-tint (that'll cost ya...tint guy said the rear window was the worst he had ever done)
Replaced all shocks with KYB replacements...I guess it's a bit smoother. Gutted the entire sound system and replaced amp, speakers and HU. Good car, can't complain...seeing at it was FREE!
