Alright, so this week, I'm going to buy the supplies to replace my head gasket and go from there. Still not sure if that's exactly the problem, but worth a shot.

you may want to get it up on a lift and verify where the oil is coming from before cracking the engine open. could be a leak from the seam of where the oil pan is bolted to the bottom of the block. In that case a 5$ tube of permatex oil pan gasket would fix your leak problem.

I'd still have to figure out why the car over heats so quickly and blows white smoke. That really seems like a head gasket.

Yeah I would pull off the head so you can clean it all up and replace the head gasket. That way you can put it back together correctly with new valve cover seals and button up the throttle body, etc. Big job but you can get a lot of other things fixed and put together right to avoid problems, such as new seals and gaskets.

Ok, I understand now. I thought the tear down was for the oil leak on the floor. I read too quickly.

I just purchased a1gs. Pretty stoked. Only cost me $300. Anywho, did this fix the issue?
