Default Aristo 2JZGTE Swap Completed!

Continued from my last thread, I have finished the complete Aristo 2JZGTE swap. Here is the link to my old build thread to see some of the progress from before:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...0-build-2.html

So I finally finished the swap. Everything on it came from a JZS147 Aristo:

- Motor
- Motor Mounts
- Radiator
- Sidemount Intercooler w/ Piping
- Fuel Pump
- Hydraulic Fan System
- Power Steering Reservoir

The only thing aftermarket on this swap (aside from my HKS Hiper cat back from an Aristo) is my Blitz intake kit. I was able to source a Blitz intake kit made specifically for a JZS147 so the bracket lined up where the mounting points should be. Also, I stuck with the stock twin turbos so the firewall was "massaged" gently enough to fit. The A/C compressor is from my original motor. I just kept the compressor to the side, still attached to the A/C lines, so it didn't have to be recharged. All maintenance was done (timing belt, seals, etc.) and I had a reman. rack and pinion installed at the same time as well from jorgenauto.com. I had to replace some suspension parts as well in the rear of my car cause they were causing my tires to shake in the back. Also, I painted and installed a JDM front bumper to accommodate the sidemount because the OEM bumper had no inlets for the air to get to the intercooler and I didn't want to hack up the old bumper either. Anyway... here are the pics I took with my Canon SLR camera yesterday for fun. Thought I would have a fun little mini-photo shoot:

Coilovers, downpipe, and front mount will be next on my list...

Looks awesome! Congrats on completing the swap!! Are you using the stock transmission or did you have to source a JDM Aristo transmission?

its the Aristo Auto tranny.... one day, I'd like to swap it with a Soarer R154 5-speed but all in due time. Thank you for the kind words!

The car looks awesome! I'm considering performing the swap. I will definitely take a look at your thread. If you don't mind sharing, how much was the grand total for the "investment"?

Very clean swap and car! I like the attention to detail (such as the brace for the air intake). Great job!

Nice looking swap! Definitely looks complete as far as the stock swap goes, strut bar, stock intercooler piping, hydro fan.. Nice!

You and I both need some engine detailing work (cleaning!) lol

Definitely get some Japanese coil overs! I'm running PoweredbyMax but there are better and worse out there.

Thank you for the kind words... After all the parts, bumper, motor, wiring, installation, power steering rack, etc... I paid roughly $4900 for everything.

Thanks! I always believe the little attention to details are what make swaps come out looking like the motor came in the car from day 1.

haha thank you sir!

yeah, I need to fix the valve cover now. The engine shiner stuff that was put on stained the valve cover! doh!

I want to get a set of HKS coilovers ideally. I had a set lined up locally I was gonna buy but I put the money into the engine swap instead. Just gotta be patient and wait for another set to pop up.

Just an update on a couple things I picked up for the Aristo...

First, I went ahead and swapped out the Lexus grill with a Toyota JDM one. Just one of the little details:

Then, I bought another little toy. I had one of these on my Sr20 swapped 240 way back in 2005. I always wanted another one so I said screw it and picked up one used off another forum... but I couldn't just be like everyone else.... here's a little before... and a sneak peek of the after... I pick it up tomorrow...

It was in great shape... just had a scuff in one side and partly on the label.... can't do much about the label but the other part....

I've been following your thread a while man. Looks great. I wish I would have had the funds to do mine. Kinda miss her already.
