Default My little project!

I worked on my car for 9 hours straight today, and here's what I did to the exterior.

- Added Plasti-Dip to the chrome on the grill (excluding the Lexus symbol).
- Used tint spray on tail lights
- Plast-Dipped the Lexus word and symbol on the back.
- I also unbolted the exhaust right in the middle (yes it is loud as hell).

Here's some pictures:

I think it's awesome! The grill came out fantastic too!

I think what made the car look really nice is the tinted tail lights.

9 hrs straight huh? I'm still recovering from a 7 hr stint on my other clunker. Your GS is looking good. Did you replace the mid pipe or you left it open? Were you after more power or louder sound?

9 hours, working on various things. Paint, exhaust, but also doing my friends car at the same time!

I literally took the bolts off the middle of the exhaust, so it's basically a cat back. This weekend, I'm going to try and get under and drill holes to hold the pipe up. It flexes so bad. I scraped the pipe on the ground like 6 times just going home.

I was after the sound mostly. The sound was pretty damn insane! It sounds like a monster. It's not a ricer sound cause it's deep! - I'm 19 so I guess I'm into the head turning type of stuff haha...

So before I post the new pictures, I though I'd post the old ones first:

Here's the updated pictures. The most recently at least. My water pump blew and serpentine belt ripped up like crazy this week, so I'm waiting to fix that.

I used the tint spray on the tail lights (pretty damn dark), and then I used plasti-dip on the symbols, the grill, mirrors, gas tank, and my door handles. That was one can for all of those. Then one and a half cans on my rims.

The rims took 1 1/2 themselves. The rest, only about one can (if you do it right). Yeah, I just put that on a couple days ago.

It's cheap, looks good, and doesn't take too much effort.

Put an H.I.D kit on. I also put a new battery, spark plugs + wires in and I'll take some pics of that tomorrow. I'll try to get better shots of my H.I.D's too.

Hows the HID kit when driving? I definitely have been wanting to do that with my car! I polished up my lenses and that helped a lot but dang the stock lights aren't enough!
