Default K&N Filter on '95 GS

It's time for me to get a new Air filter and I've seen and heard so many great reviews on the K&N brand filters. They're said to be top of the line now, so are there any first gen GS owners who have a personal experience with the K&N brand?

I have been running a K&N Filter for about 5000 miles now and it seems to perform pretty well plus I think its the only drop-in/replacement filter available for the 1GS.

Check for spectre. They make the exact same filters for half price. I know most auto stores carry them as well. They have drop in and cone style. I've ran both as well as AEM, etc etc and they are all pretty much identical if you stick with cotton gauze type filters (K&N).

Just about a week ago I put in a cone filter to my 1gs. I used a spectre Mass Airflow Sensor adapter to attach a cone filter to. The adapter cost me about $14 if i remember correctly, it was metal and made to fit about a thousand makes and models. I had to drill new holes in place on the adapter as it said you may have to on the packaging. In all it was about a thirty minute project. I can shoot you links to the adapter that I purchased. Pics below.

Funny. I'm going the opposite way, trying to make mine quieter. It has one of these jobs ^^ on it.
