Default My $400 score :)

I just picked this up for $400 dollars it runs good just replaced the altenator and power steering pump only issue I have left is leaking oil from the crank seal... Which I would like a little info on but let me know what y'all think

Thanks man I just really hope to get this front main seal replaced I've heard the timing belt has to come off which is a first in crank seals for me but I'll fibre it out. 281k miles

Doing the timing belt and front seals are pretty straight forward on these cars. The fan clutch will have to come off along with the Power steering pulley and crank shaft pulley. Once those are out of the way the plastic covers come off. Just 10mm bolts hold them on. After the covers come off you will be looking at the timing belt itself. Release timing belt tensioner and pull the timing belt off. Slide the lower timing gear from the crank shaft snout and replace the crank shaft seal. I would recommend replace the cam shaft seals and water pump while you are in there.

Ah thanks man my question was basically if the crank seal was behind the timing belt and I'm gunna take that a a yes haha well damn guess I better start saving for the belt while I'm at it

Nice catch man! I got mine for 500 but yours is in WAY better shape! I've got to do extensive work on mine including body work and electrical

They have lexus inserts in em and the tire shop said they were some sort of special package idk tho who knows
