Default Is it possible to replace power steering reservoir with out replacing pump?

The power steering pump on my 94 GS whines, and I suspect the filter in the reservoir is clogged, starving the pump of fluid.

I shopped around for a new reservoir, but everywhere I looked, the pump and reservoir come as a unit.

Is it possible to buy the reservoir by itself?

If not, has anyone posted a filter cleaning procedure? I've heard of using acetone and BB's, but no pictures.

Are you sure you need to replace the entire reservoir? Have you checked the O ring at the bottom of the reservoir? There is a possibility the O ring has expanded due to age, which is starving the pump. I had a similar situation where the O ring was bad. I found this out after the pump was already purchased/installed. Just my 02.
