I'm giving my daughter my stock 1994 Lexus gs300. I want to upgrade the tires and rims (215/60/16). Will 235/45/18 fit the vehicle. A friend of mine is selling his OEM GS 350 rims. I don't plan to lower the car since she's going to use the car commuting to school and back. Any feedback will be appreciated.

yep that will fit fine.

I am running 245 40 18 up front and 285 35 18 rear and lowered and its still fine, no pulling of the fenders.

I like that you're not lowering the car, giving its intended use. Going with 18's, however, it's going to exaggerate the look of the fender gap. They all do that. Just so you know what to expect.

you should probably lower it so she doesn't have to use a ladder or slide to get down and out of the car...LOL

larger overall tire diameter by a decent amount...slower acceleration "which already sucks" will use more gas as well. To answer your question will it fit? yes it will fit.

Larger tires don't always mean worse mpg. I went from 30" to 35" on my Jeep and gained 4mpg just from lower rpm at cruise. You just have to modify the way you accelerate. Furthermore most people don't/ can't adjust their speedo to compensate so your odometer will be off throwing off your mpg calculations. You have to look at the full picture.

18s and those tires will fit great. Also a 235/45 has a decent sidewall so won't look to bad at stock ride height.
