Default Racing seats and Swap Seats discussion thread

Hey guys. I wanted to start this topic to talk about the sizing and seats you all run.

I had Bride Zeta II in my accord, but I was much smaller then, 36" waist at 200 lbs
Im now 290 and size 40 lol

Im looking at the Corbeau A4 wide. Fits up to size 42 and up to 6' 4". Im 6' even. Do you all know anything about them? They good touring seats? Ive been known to autocross and love tackling curvy roads for the fun of it. Something to fit me snug, but not compressing.

I had the a4 but they felt really cheap compared to sparco and bride seats I've had. They should do the trick though. I'm pretty thin and they fit well but I'm sure the wide will be more suitable for you. The stock seats are nice for cruising and street racing but sliding around scares me in the corners and I don't push my car enough. I haven't had any tire squeal in my Aristo even though I was keeping up with sti and mr2 in the corners. They handle well for a big car but the seats are a big scary.

If bride or sparco made bigger seats I would look into it lol

I plan on getting back into SCCA autocross and drag racing at Bristol. I'll have to weld in a support bar per VA law. Harnesses have to be attached to a fixed point. Nothing bolted on.

I'm not installing harnesses until the engine swap so just factory seat belt for now.

Nixspeed, I still can't find seat sliders of the corbeau brand. Ill have to get measurements once I have them out.

Top Gear to the rescue! I was watching the real version, mind you the US version is getting better, and got inspired. Sparco EVO XL. Any input? I'm going to look into it lol

I was gonna say they all make a wide but call them something different. Also cobra seats are all wider from what I've heard. Just compare seat dimensions. Corbeau has the same rail specs as sparco and bride so any of those rail sets will fit. If this site would let me post links id find some for you but it gets mad at me. Anything Clarkson can fit in should be good. He is a big guy.

A bigger friend of mine had them in his mustang and they seemed better quality than corbeau but I've heard they are all wide style seats so I've never looked much into them. I'm 6'3" and 175# so not the best fit for me.

I think the cobra have the same seat base as sparco etc as well. You can always call their customer service. Most are really cool to talk too.

MODS

Please change my post title to "Racing seats and Swap Seats discussion thread"

I've seen a lot of posts talking about swapped seats. I would like to configure a list of seats that swap right in with or without modifications.

So far I've seen a member state is300 seats swap right in and another member says WRX seats fit.

Let's add to this guy's get it going. Maybe get it into a sticky eventually.
