Swap in a 2JZ-GE or part it out?
Hey everyone! I know I haven't been active on the forums lately because I've been busy with school and the car hasn't progressed very much. So I was shopping around on Craigslist and I saw a 1994 GS300 for sale. Here's the ad:
Hey guys, have a clean title 140k mile gs300 with is300 seats and rims. GREAT start for a vip project, Car was recently my girlfriends daily driver until she blew the engine from negligence. All gauges light up, All interior functions worked flawless.
New windshield+trim
All new window regulators
is300 seats
New radiator
Shell is COMPLETE, not molested and parted out, drop a 500$ 2jz in it and have a low mileage clean titled reliable gs300 for a fraction of the regular cost. Can also complete swap for cheap if needed.
Car was painted before i got it but previous owner didnt know how to take care of a paintjob, had a ****ty body kit on it which i returned back to stock. Make me an offer and its yours
1250$
Price is OBO I NEED IT GONE! shoot me a fair offer and its yours, you dont see these come up too often and most are 200k+
My 93' GS is in worse condition than this one, and I asked the seller if he would part it out. He said yes, but now I'm facing a predicament. Should I just take the parts that I need or should I buy the whole car, swap in my current engine, and sell mine for scrap? Keep in mind, the parts that need to be replaced on my car are all the hood, doors, fenders, rear seats, carpet, sunroof assembly, gauge cluster needles, and a few more interior parts. Any help would be appreciated.
