Default AC temp control problems

I have a 93 gs300 and when I set my ac temp to 65 it works great but it gets freaking cold after a bit so when I try turning up the temp as soon as I hit 67 or above the AC light turns off and the fresh air lights up and it just blows hot air. I can turn the ac button back on but the temp stays hot until I go back down to 65 degrees. Every blue moon it will work and I can adjust it up to 70 and it works but that is on a very rare ocassion. Any help would be great bc the GF hates being froze or just hot lol.

There is a sensor behind the driver side front bumper reinforcement that read outside temperature and if unplugged it will only give cold a/c at 65, anything above the heater kicks in... maybe yours is defective or not fully connected..

Ok that could be my problem because the PO did a 2gen front clip conversion. Do you have a picture or anything so I can verify if I have it or not. I know for sure it's not working bc my outside temp reading is -22..

I also have this same issue, I know my front bumper has been replaced...so I need to hook this back up as well. A picture of it's location would be fantastic.
