dubs or 20'' rims....why do most run 19"? just something i noticed. i myself am running 20's. Not really on purpose but I caught a nice deal from ravspec. Just curious what the underlying reasons were. Cheaper in price? Lower rims size means lower car? Feel free to chime in and put in you 2 cents...

I have had everything from 20" to stock 16"s. 20"s in my opinion ride horribly! They're extremely heavy (not from a performance aspect), and in my opinion again, I do not like the way they look. I understand if you got a good deal-thats a different story. Everyone runs 18" and 19" because they look right. The ride is still good. I love my 18"s and the car handles amazing. Especially now that it is on coilovers.

I run 20s and get plenty of compliments. The ride isnt any worse with good coilovers. Wheel weight is determined by design, my forged 20s weigh less than my stock 16s. But in general deep dish wheels will look smaller than flush faced wheels. So deep dished 20s look more like 19s with no lip.

I would run 20's in a minute. Its all about personal taste, style, fittment and stance. I wished I would have kept a picture of a guy who ran 20 front and 22 rear on a 1st gen with coilovers it actually looked sick but the driveabiility I would question.
17s, 18s, 19s, or 20s would look good but you have to do it right.
Im Just Saying...........
Here is my hooptie on staggered 19inch Momo's on Twin Turbo Supra struts and Tein springs. Its all in how you make it sit.

I ride on 20s and love them. I have 18s also but my car isnt low enough to make it look good. The ride quality for me is still good. But I woundnt mind having 19s

From the research I've done 19's would be the way to go. If your going to have more performance than looks then don't go any higher than 19. Weight will eventually become an issue if you don't have the power to back it up. Plus your turning ability would also start messing with you. And last I read that depending on the offset most people with 20's end up having to roll their 1/4 panels. So there's my .02.
