Currie, just do the Eibach Pro-Kit and if possible, replace the shocks/struts as well. Its about an inch and a quarter drop and should be perfect with your 20s.

Todd

PS...don't forget to get an alignment after. Also, your front wheels will be a little off. So, make sure to rotate your wheels often.

Do I need coilovers Springs or whatever they are called.
What eibach do you recommend?
Will any old spring do?

well coilovers are a combination of spring and strut, so you could get adjustable coilovers and alter the height and ride whenever you want. if you get springs and struts, you can get the eibach pro-kit and some kyb struts. it's a good drop and not too low. there is also an alignment kit so for the 1st gen gs for your rear tires.......an it's less then $30. let us know what you decide on and post some pics when your done.....

The problem is not the rear. There is plenty of adjustment in the rear to align it without the camber kit. The problem is the front...and there is nothing that can be done about it.

But, DEFINATELY post some pics when you finish!

I lowered my car with Eibachs and replaced the shocks with KYB. I didn't replace the shocks until a few months after the spring change and I noticed the stock shocks couldn't handle the lowering.

Before I lowered it, I but 17 inch rims and the car looked way too high. Now it looks just right.

I also had alignment problems after I lowered the car...the front tires wore very fast on the inside corner. I bought a lifetime alignment for $120 two years ago and I bring my car in every month, but the tires still wore away quite fast.

I had Perelli P7000, Yokohama A520, and Michelin XGT Z4 and they wore away so fast. Last year I changed to Yokohama AVID H4 and they are barely worn The ride is so much quieter but the handling limit is not as high...a trade off of course, but I didn't want to buy a new set of tires every year that got louder and louder as they wore out.

Jmai, as I remember, you are from Torrance...only 15 minutes from LB. It would be nice to meet so we can share info.

Who else in the S. Cal. would like to meet with us?
