It doesnt look normal because its frankly, not. Only a handful of subs do that. The max levels far exceed where this amp can take it. That amp is powering it at 1000w the subs RMS is 1200 with a peak of 2400. The amp to be honest barely moves the cone. As for the box it's built exactly to specs.

* I sold that sub and replaced it with the same one just brand new. Wait until you see it with the Rockford Fosgste 2500bdcp.
