Default Tiptronic

Can a tiptronic tranny from a 2gs fit my 1gs? It's the bellhousings I'm worried about.

I'm gonna say no because yours is obd1 and the tranny is a obd2, thus I would assume the wiring and ecu would be a challenge not worth attempting, but I could be wrong. Is your tranny going out? Or you just find a cheap tranny?

Yea. Think my tranny is gonna be finished soon. I was thinking about a manual swap but i hate stick. the whole clutch thing is annoying. I want to drive in peace lol. I wanted the tiptronic because i would be able to switch to it whenever i want.

I think this is a better option, at least I've seen it done, you can get a new "performance" rated torque converter for like 250 bucks if yours is slipping.

Yeah, Reem I think this would be a pain, to do you prob have to switch everything over to obd2. Depending on how bad you say your tranmission is slipping, you might just have to drop the fluid change the filter. Then clean out the screen, alone with a second fluid change. They kind of explain the process here in the threads. I personally can't stand triptronic, its a sorry excuse for stick if ask me. I know what you mean though, in traffic stick sucks big time. But if you wanted to do a swap like a full manuel one. I know of a guy in Brooklyn who is a Supra specialist who can do it. I'm going to have him do my engine swap next year. I seen his work and went to hos shop, nice guy w some great custom wrk. Also he has very fair prices.
