While I know its pretty easy to install, I couldnt find any write ups with pictures detailing whats needed to install. I like to read up and have a sense of what Im doing before I start something, I count find what I was looking for so i figured I should put the info out there.

This DIY begins after the bumper is removed,please excuse the crappy iphone pictures.


First remove the 8 12mm bolts holding the bumper support.



Then remove the 3 12mm bolts holding the bumper support brackets to the frame on both sides.

Comparing the two supports and brackets







Next bolt up the aristo support brackets, they only use 2 bolts instead of the 3 on the gs300 bracket.



Then bolt up the aristo bumper support, again I uses 2 bolts per side instead of the 4.



Dont you hate when you have spare parts after you took something apart? lol




I would have pictures of the bumper installed but i ran into a few problems with my bumper having broken tabs, once I fix that I will have more pictures.


Oh and the aristo fog lights plug right in, no splicing needed.

Hope this quick 15 minute write up helps someone out.

I got mine from Venus Auto in sacramento, it was $85 out the door for everything including foglights.

Thanks for the write up. I've been thinking of doing the Aristo bumper for awhile but still debating.

I used some 2 part powdered product marketed for repairing cracked bumpers, I forgot the name and sadly lost it when I recently moved. While it worked for a few months it ended up cracking again.

What I plan on doing is buy some stainless mesh ( if i cant find any locally I will buy a large strainer) and cut it into strips then using a soldering iron with a flat head you press it into the bumper to weld them together. Watch these 2 videos to get an idea of what im talking about.

Good find on how to fix the tabs. I was going to just use some aluminum and make brackets. Might have to look into the plastic welding.

Just picked this up at harbor freight for 15 bucks to fix the broken tabs.

Made a tutorial to fix the tabs for anyone else looking into fixing some.

Broken tabs on the bumper that I previously fixed with epoxy, it didnt hold







Started by spot welding the tab in place.







Then used a piece of steel mesh and melted it into the tab just below the surface of the tab.



Then melted an abs stick over it and filled in all the cracks.





Did the same to the back of the tab with some steel mesh.



Once its melted below the surface I melt more abs on it to strengthen it and fill.

















Its not very pretty but it works!

Looks great man, very cool DIY. I ended up splurging for a new bumper I found on eBay. It was the same color as my car, and it was 100% intact, as far as the mounting points. Couldn't pass it up.
