Default Telescoping Wheel Problem...

I have a 1994 GS..The steering wheel works fine and move in all directions except in and out. I had 96 SC and the wheel telescoped in all directions including in and out (closer and further to the dash).

I'm wondering if these models even move in that direction b/c the arrows indicate it should. Mine doesn't...WTH could be causing that? and if possible how can it be fixed...Not knowing is bugging me lol
