Default Taking apart passenger door

Hey guys,

I did a search, but could not find anything.

I have a rattle in my rear passenger door and it's very annoying.

Does anyone have any tips on taking apart the rear passenger door?

Thanks alot!!

Taking apart the entire door or just the door panel?

Ah ok. The obvious screws you can already find by going around the sides and edges of the door panel. I believe there are 3 or 4 of these short screws. There are also 3 longer screws that are hidden. One of them can be accessed after removing the courtesy lamp at the bottom. Another can be accessed after removing the window control switch. The last one can be accessed by popping off a plastic square which is underneath the armrest area. Next you have to pop off the door handle trim which can be a bit flimsy so becareful. After all of these are removed, pry or pull the panel off by starting at the bottom and work your way up the sides. The very top of the panel hangs on by a rail so just push up and it should slide off. Remember how the inside rail of the upper part of the panel attaches as it can be a pain to get the panel back on correctly.

On mine I only found 2 hidden screws, one under the woodgrain/ash tray and one behind the courtesy light. The 3 visible ones were no-brainers. And the clips at the top you were talking about, mine didnt come off by just pushing up. They actually clip so I had to wedge my finger up there and unclip them.

The key is, start pulling from the bottom, go slow, and make sure you aren't making mystery tugs

O yea you are correct. I was thinking about the front door which has 3 hidden screws.

While your in there stick your hand in there and feel around on the bottom inside the door to see if there are any parts laying in there from a previous window regulator repair
