Default mounting amp ??s

i was wondering where most of you guys have your aftermarket amps mounted...

my idea is to get some plexiglas and secure it to the back side of the cover/trim that hides the gas tank to give it some rigidity and mount my cap. and amp to the front of it and hide all the wires and stuff......i saw it done this way on here before but i cant find it in the searches...do you guys think it would be too heavy and it would just fall out of place?

oh the amp i got is an alpine pdx-5 and its a 4 farad cap....

Ive seen it where it lays flat on the gas tank and attached to the back seat braces or upright like 2toneGS did.

i had another member here create a basic amp rack because when i had it initially on the trunk cover that hides the gas tank, it bowed in and couldn't hold my amp.

Wow that looks nice. I don't have pics, but I'm hoping to when I take it all apart to change out my sub (grrr). I made a box for a 12' JL Audio W3 sub, and a plywood base to mount to the box. Eventually the orginal carpet will be put into place and small holes for the wiring, etc. I will have two amps, and a remote brain for my DVD system.
