Heat Valve motor?
Hi Guys,
I recently replaced my water heat valve because my AC and Heater wasn't working.
I found my old heat valve to be totally corroded and stayed open (blowing air through it) regardless of valve position. The new one actually opens and closes.
So now, my AC is working perfectly again, but my heater is still not working. Regardless of temperature I set, the cable connected to the heat valve does not move. I'm thinking the motor for what ever mechanism is used to push and pull the cable connected to the heat valve is broken.
Any other suggestions? Where is this motor located? what are some additional tests i should run?

bump. i need the part that moves the cable for the heater control valve as well. will the one from the ls400 work? lots of those at the junkyard. also, how hard is it to get to to replace? is there a tutorial on removing the dash? id like to pull my evaporator out and clean it and the box and change the exspansion valve etc... before installing a new compressor.

What I would do is check the motors by using an ohm meter. Disconnect the plug from the motor then put one probe on the power and one on the ground and see if it reads open or OL if it does the motore is defenintly bad and just replace it. If it has an ohm reading most likely it is find and it's going to be wiring from the climate control or the climate control its self
