Default HAHA it works!!!

so a few people were talking about the 2nd gen control arms and putting them in our car. but i only saw one person do this. well good news IT WORKS!!! i bought some adjustable control arms and it worked to perfection. i will do the write up soon and post pics. but it took me 10min MAX per side. but if the spring gets in the way of the bolt consider 2hours lol. but yes 2nd gen arms fit 1 gen. now we have more options then the stupid Lexus $500 per arm cost.
fyi im excited lol so now the caster is fully adjustable and all is did and done until i have more fun

DIY for Upper control arms

step 1) remove wheel... duh then remove 10mm brake line clamp on upper arm.
(slides over the arm itself once the nut is removed)

step 2) remove the codder pin which is in the bolt

step 3) get a 14mm socket and remove the nut

step 4) loosen the 2 bolts by the spring but dont remove yet.

step 5) put wd-40 on the ball joint and let it soak

step 6) use an impact hammer and tap where the ball joint is in the metal arm(sorry cant
think of the name of it.

step 7) once you can lift the arm up and can freely move it then remove 2-14mm
completely.

step 8) put your new arm in and put everything back into position and tighten everything
EXCEPT the two 14mm bolts in the back of the arms leave these semi
loose.

MAYBE NEED TO DO STEP) if these bolts will not slide into place you need to put a jack below the strut and lift it up until you have space or completely remove the strut. your choice

step 9) put your wheel on and tighten your wheel.

step 10) lower the car

step 11) now that your car is sitting down and you have tightened everything else and
put it all back NOW tighten those other 2-14mm bolts with a wrench.

step 12) go wash up and enjoy your new adjustable arms.
for pictures just check out the pics on my facebook because i couldn't upload them here. and yes they are cell pics sorry. its under my album called club lexus... imagine that lol
