Hello everyone I just received my car back from the shop and the issue was with the Egr valve. My mechanic told me that it needed to be cleaned in which it fixed the problems. Now that I have my car back I would like to remove the rear emblems. I would like to replace with black emblems. If anyone could explain how to remove the emblems I would deeply appreciate it... Also, should "TRAC" be displayed on the speedo while driving??

Take some fishing line, and "saw" back and forth between the emblems and the car body. Then use some Goo-Gone to remove the rest of the adhesive from the body. That is if they are merely held on by adhesive. If there are pins, someone else will chime in to confirm.

And no, TRAC should not be displayed when driving.

I remove the emblem by using razor blade carefully on the outside. Make sure don't push it where it damage the paint. As for the inside, I used dental floss as if I'm flossing. You have to be patience or you will damage the paint. Once the emblems are remove, I used car wax to clean out the adhesive from the 3M double sided tape. I don't recommend using anything else like solvent because that can damage the paint gloss. I did this on both of my GS and the result are positive.

hey i wanted to revive this thread real quick, cuz i just removed the emblems xcept for the lexus L and i got those holes now. i probably didnt follow your guys instructions, i did the fishing line thing, but wat bout the holes?

thats why i didnt remove mines.i think there was 7 holes holding the
"LEXUS" emblem.
if you dont want to take it to the body shop to get it filled,just put a sticker over it
or if i did take them off,i was gonna buy me a Junction Produce emblem and use that.
