so my key ran out of battery, so i replaced it. and now it doesn't work.

do i need to get it reprogrammed or something?

double check the switch in the cabin on the left of the steering wheel. i thought my key battery was dead and replaced it and realized that the switch was off.

I had this same problem and I tried the Key lock out thing but it still doesnt work. Well that was like a year ago, but my keyless doesnt work still.

i checked the on/off button and it was on, but i kept turning it off and on couple times and still didn't work when it was on. but later it started working again.. randomly.

im on my friends computer, but when i get time ill post them up from my computer...

does anyone know if the alarm/keyless entry is standard? I've been opening my car with the key for months and always get a honk. Is it as easy as getting a key fob and programming it?

I havent heard of a 1st gen GS without keyless entry.
