I am refering to the pictures, and clearly, unless you boxed the pod filter, the air intake scoop is not really being effective in my opinion as it is no longer being aimed at the filter in this case.
I do relaize that most tuners would aim the new pod towards a scoop or duct maybe under the headlights for example.

it is not a ram air effect, but it does steer air coming thru the grille opening into the direction of the filter.. whereas without it, it would just flow straight back into the motor. Dunno.. maybe the last owner of the car wanted to hide the fans??
