Any owners go from GS 350 to GS F?
Hi everyone, I've owned a few Lexus (4GS, 3IS, and RC) and I'm leaning towards getting back into a GS. My first thought was to get back into a 350 but with the prices these things are going for, I might get into the F.
Can anyone speak to how the ride quality and comfort level compares between the 350 and F?
I know performance is different but I am more so curious about the ride itself.
I checked the entire sub-forum and found no thread on it.

The 2017's will ride better, I know that. They added the adjustable variable suspension from the GS350 to the GSF and RCF for 2017.
From a test drive I had on a less than perfect road in the GSF, I can say it's stiffer than the GS 350 F Sport but controlled, not excessively rough. The wheelbase on the GS helps dampen it down a bit compared to the RCF.

Thank you both for the feedback!
Was the salesman strict or stringent during the drive? I'm not trying to punch it, but like you I want try some less than perfect roads and freeways

I would agree that the ride is a bit stiffer. I have always been a fan of the GS because the ride is a great balance of stiff/handling and luxury. I would say the GSF is a bit more on the sportier side but I still love it.

Nah the sales guy just had us go on a short loop but I made sure I nailed some potholes. Nothing crazy but I wanted to test it. Held straight, didn't bottom out and recovered nicely.

I used to have a 2016 GS350 F sport and upgraded to a GSF shortly because I just love the power and the looks on the F more than the F sport. But honestly with the ride, my F sport is more comfortable esp in city driving and long drives because of the variable suspension that you can change with the dial when you go Eco, normal, sport and sport +. But as mention, the GSf's ride is not bad at all, esp coming from cars that had all coilovers. 2017 GSF will be really nice then if they added the variable suspension from the F sport.

I have just given my 2015 GS 350 F Sport AWD to my wife. My local Lexus dealer put a 2016 GSF on sale for $70k! I have driven it now for 2500 miles.
Comparison to the 350: GSF is much firmer of a ride, especially in Sport + mode. I wouldn't say the 350 has a soft ride but the GSF is def stiffer.

I had a GS 350 F sport prior to moving to my 16 GSF, and the GSF ride is a bit firmer; but not in a bad way. The comfort is definitely there. I also think the hug of the seats helps to enhance that comfort even though you get less adjustable options in seat position than the GS 350 F sport. If you are into a 2017 GSF I would suggest picking up the 2016 stragglers that are on dealers lots first. No plans on selling my GSF right now because it is too much fun to drive.(parked up for for the winter but I let it growl for a few minutes every other week. NX 200T holds daily driver duties for now) AVS on 2017 MY will not matter if you plan to change the suspension IMO. A more reasonable price point will determine the future of the 17 GSF's. I had lost the AVS on my 350 F sport after a suspension mod, but that's how it is when you start going down the aftermarket route. DRS was a plus on my old 350 F sport but the GSF TVD does the job with railroad track precision.
