Default Wet season tire: Toyo Proxes 4 +

I'd like to get a tire that is top notch for wet weather around here (Seattle). Any recommendations? the local les schwab recommended the toyo proxes 4 + ? should I look at other tires? I see consumer reports recommends Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ and Pirelli p zero all season plus as their top two choices.

also the quote for the toyo buy and install is 1600, is that good?

*I know there is another tire thread but decided to create a new one to focus more on tire models.

I'm not sure why your looking at an ALL SEASON tire? The Proxes 4 Plus is an All Season tire that comes in one size only 235/35/19. Too small for your application.

The Michelin PSS currently on your GSF is a Max Performance tire that also works well in the wet. It is however, unsuitable for freezing conditions.

Agreed, the pilots work very well wet, just don't freeze them.

It's not me, I just told the tire shop what I had and this is what they recommended. Then i turned around to post this thread and ask for advice. So it's not me looking at a tire, it's the tire shop's recommendation.

I did lookup the size and it's the right tire size, matches the lexus.com site - http://www.lexus.com/models/GSF

sounds like I might as well just use the stock tires as I can't get something considerably better for wet?

^^^^GSF tires sizes are 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. The Tire Rack page only lists one size, 235/35/19.

And Yes, all Mac Performance tires, that I am aware of, are good in the wet.

You may want to read this:

And download the test results.
