Old thread but I don't think it's ever been mentioned.

Does anyone know if the Apexi mid pipe utilizes the stock OEM gasket or if it uses a flat gasket?

It would look something like this:
(This is from the Borla Exhaust)


Note the recessed areas on the flange that would mate up to the stock OEM design of the gasket.

I know many people here have the Apexi mid pipe, so I just wanted to ask.

You can use the OEM gasket. I'd also purchase some Permatex Copper Sealant meant for exhaust flanges as that will help ensure you have no leaks.
