This is the brake clearance i have with my 19s for anyone thinking about 18s. These are TIGHT! Some 18s may fit but not all. The weights barely clear. Its like 1mm.

Exactly. I doubt anyone is going to buy some stock 18" Lexus wheels for $800/pc for the winter. Mine are aftermarket 19" wheels. My point is: not all 18" wheels are going to fit this car! My thinking is most probably wont.

Wow your wheel barely clears the calipers.

Now I think just the opposite! Let the salt trash my aftermarkets so I can preserve my original wheels.

I got a used set of RC-F wheels and powdercoated them in flat black. Just kept the stock 19s tire sizes with Continental DWS 06. Works fine in the cold and snow. I've drivens thousands of miles in the DWS in MD snow storms in RWD vehicles with no issues.

Quick update. Got caught in a nasty snow storm today and had an hour of highway drive covered in ice. The car handled GREAT! Very confident driving.

Thats good to hear that the setup is working, goes to show that changing wheel setup helps a ton.
