In SF Bay Area (which is not as competitive as Southern California) I already have one offer of $6,500 off MSRP - which is less than invoice.

just a thought...

is the GS-F going to suffer a similar fate as G8 GXP and Chevy SS?

what i'm saying is those cars weren't selling well and the secondhand market never showed a great decrease in price to make them desirable. .. imo

^^
I don't think so. The demographics are not only different, the car is different as well. For example the SS is sold in volume in other parts of the world. Thus in the USA, the SS whether it sells 3000 units or not, isn't a real loss for GM.

The GS-F isn't selling volume in Asia, but not selling in USA, or vice versa.... Though there is order/wait in other parts of the world, the car is just over priced.

The SS is a great value. I have looked at it up close, only issue being I don't like the interior, it is too chrome.

However, what I do see 6-9 years down the road, the GS-F will be coveted. Just look at the ISF. The resale value on those are amazing, even though new they weren't flying off the shelf. Same as mazdaspeed miata and many other niche cars...

great point.! I'm hoping so. With all the developments in ecu tunes for IS-F now i'm hoping it opens the door for a great GS-F aftermarket

That did not take too long. Watch, the price will go down by another 5,000.

Funny, today I asked the Lexus rep at NY autoshow, when will GS-F prices become more reasonable? She got so upset, started saying what this car means for Lexus and how its doing well in terms of sales and that I should not be waiting for any discounts....

She is spewing company line

Otherwise her definition of "doing well," is very different than what it means in the real world

So it just arrived. Had the GSF been originally priced at the same $$ that some seem to have bought one for (78K OTD) then this decision would have been much harder. However after driving this for just a couple days absolutely no regrets.
