Default 20" rims or 22" on the GS

Ok folks, I'm ready to put some rims on my black 2015 GS 350. Not sure if 22 inch rims is a good idea because of the fact of rubber band tires. What do you all suggest? I'm going with the Lexani CSS15.

22s aren't very functional. If you care about function and quality of ride, they'd be too big for the car. If you're going for the looks though, 22s with a nice drop can look great. But again, you'd be sacrificing a lot of functionality and I wouldn't recommend them if you're daily driving the car.

I personally think 20s are perfect for our cars. You can still rock a decent sidewall tire and also not sacrifice too much in the ride quality. They fill up the wheel well perfectly and with a subtle drop, you'd be sitting verryyyy nicely!

I'd definitely stick with 20" for the 4th gen GS.

20s. Anything bigger will compromise the ride. Unless you use the car for a show, go with 22s but if its a daily driving car, stick with 20s.

If you go with 22's make sure to buy a couple extras so you have backups for when they crack or bend from normal road abuse.

Depends.. are you increasing your sidewall size as well?
Running 22s would mean you're sidewall would be slim to nothing... so the smallest of bumps can translate into a bent rim or crack..
20s would be cool as long as the tire sizing isn't drastic... with proper offset of course.

I think you'd be happy with 21".. but then again.. tire sizing is pretty slim so you'll be forced to pay a premium for odd size tires..

21's are the perfect size I agree but the tires are rare and expensive...
20's with a Tanabe or RS-R springs will be just fine

Ok went with the 20s. No drop but staggered. 20x8.5 front, 20 x10 rear. 245/35/20 front, 275/30/20 rear. Looks good to me. The black really leans well. Whatcha think??

Great choice going with 20s, the 22 would look like a donk!

Looks good! The black on black makes blends the wheel well nicely so a drop isn't a must here.
