Hey Guys. The Traction Control of my 14 GS 350 F-Sport is acting weird. When I put the car in drive to go forward, it goes fine. However, if I put it in reverse (to get the car out of my garage) and then switch to drive to go forward, traction control light starts blinking. Even if I leave my foot off the brake, as long as the light is blinking, the car won't move. There are two ways I can stop the light blinking: either put the car to neutral or park and then put it back to drive, or leave the brake pedal then press it again. After doing any of these tricks, traction control light stops blinking and only then I can start driving. The car has been in an accident from the front right side. There is no DTC stored. Any idea what could cause this?

Sounds like the Traction Control sensors needs to be checked, but also the ABS sensors too. I believe signals from the ABS sensors are linked with the signals from the Traction Control, so a faulty ABS sensor may trigger the Traction Control light and visa-versa. It would be next to impossible for you to determine which sensor was at fault with any certainty. I'd take it in to the dealer and have them analyze it.

Thanks bclexus! I am going to receive my OBDII reader with Techstream software. If either ABS or Traction Control Sensors are faulty, would it register any DTC code so that I can read it with Techstream? if not, any idea how would dealer go about checking which sensor is faulty?

The way it is reacting I kind of doubt it is throwing a code. I suspect the dealer's technician has a procedure he goes through that may have a special analyzer that includes spare sensors.

Problem solved. Actually, it was not a problem to begin with, I was just an idiot. When I back up, I press the brake pretty hard (to bring the car to a complete stop so that I don't put the car to drive while the car is moving backward), and apparently, that turns on the hill assist. Did not know it was a thing since my previous car 06 gs 300 did not have that feature.

Damn, you mashed on that brake pedal pretty hard for the Hill Assist to activate...

How hard to you mash that pedal? Lol I even have a hard time getting that thing to turn on sometimes.

If you don't have thighs the size of a telephone pole and calves the size of a pig's head you don't have the leg strength to activate the Hill Assist.
