Default Long-Haul or Short Term?

Just curious to see the poll of who plans on keeping there gs350 for the long haul or short term and your reasons. I know there are factors that play into this decision like whether your leasing, loaning, car paid off etc etc.. I think my plan is to keep it for the long haul, and have it as the old reliable vehicle that I need to get around in. That way I can keep the future GS-F nicely tucked away in the garage So what say you?

Should define the cutoff between short term and long term first

Will keep it for a while, and will probably add another 3rd car at some point.

I imagine short term is 2-4years while long term you mean 5+ years. Plan to keep for the long haul as I have already owned my '13 CPO for 2 years now and have only good things to say. Purchased it outright so hoping to keep it at least 6-8 years to make it worthwhile.

Yes 5+ years I would consider long term.

Short term here. So many great cars, so little time...

Long haul. I keep cars for 10 years to get as much out of them before they become fully depreciated then sell them when there is still some value left and use that as the down payment on the next car. It works great to get your money's worth on a depreciating asset....

This is usually what I do, too.

Long haul, hopefully. I did the same as above with my IS350 - 9 years / 170k miles and then traded it in for my 2015 GS. Didn't have to put any money down and got a very reasonable monthly payment.

I bought it 3 years used. Plan on keeping it for at least 15 years.

Long haul. That's why I went with Lexus. Came from a 2002 Toyota Camry with 175k miles and zero issues. Peace of mind is so valuable.

I have an 85 RX7 as my fun car so that satisfies my need to fix a car.
