Default Tire Pressure Monitor Not Displaying Pressure

I have a 2013 GS and the tire pressure light is on. When I switch to the tire pressure menu in the dash all I get is "--" for the read out for all the tires.

Anyone know what is going on? How do you reset it? I found the button but what is the procedure? I held it down and it flashed a serveral times but nothing happened after that. It came back on and stayed on with no read out.

If you recently had the tires changed, make sure they didn't break the TPMS sensor.

Those sensors can break inside your tire as well, if you hit a huge pothole or something. They batteries has a lifespan of around 7-10 years or so as well. Could be a host of things, but best thing to do is to try and get the sensors read somewhere and see if the scanner picks up the code. If so, might just need a quick reprogram.

flashing tpms light mean your tpms sensor not working.

Yeah I'm planning to head to a tire shop and have them check it out. I found some sensors on ebay for 17 bucks. Not to bad I guess.

Unfortunately you need a computer to check sensor operation and to program the new sensor ID's into the car. I miss the days when all that was needed was a magnet to program your TPMS sensors to the car, but like most car companies they profit on complexity.

I have the exact car year and make and model took it to discount tire they told me batteries are low and the only way they can change the battery will be my braking something which then be better off changing the whole sensor it cost me 60 dollars each with putting the on hope it helped
