Default Staggered awd GS 350 f sport?

I searched and read everything and still can't find an answer. I have a 2013 GS 350 f sport awd and will be lowered on rsr super downs.
F 20x9 +30 235/30/20
R 20x10 +35 255/30/20
the wheel diameter variance is %1.85
Will this be ok to run or is the ovarall rolling diameter off to much. Should I put 235/35/20 on the fronts?

it'll be better for you to put 245/35/20 at the fronts and 275/30/20 at the back to keep the diameters close.

Also have a 2013 FSport AWD....

I see much talk of staggering...can someone fill me on on why someone would do this?

As I understand, they come stock on 4 of the same tires...

Usually if you have rear-wheel drive car (or rear biased), having a bigger/wider tire on the back will help with grip and power from the wheels to the pavement. I think, especially since the 4GS isn't exactly a rocketship, its mostly done for style. Wheels with staggered tires tend to look better on the car especially with the concave look that those wider/taller wheels provide.

You can stagger them on AWD, but you have to keep the diameter pretty close. The IS comes staggered from the factory, even with AWD.

I'm running staggered 19's on my AWD GS and you're good as long as you keep the rolling diameter as close to the same as possible. There are a few threads about this on the forum with more detail.

I asked Lexus and they really told me they will void engine and transmission warranty if there are staggered wheels on the car... My dealer is complete *******s. I took it to toyota (free oil change) and they laughed at me like yeahhh I don't think they can do that based on wheels...

It would be hard to prove that the reason was due to a staggered setup to void warranty on major components like that. I actually spoke to someone from Corporate about this as I was looking to upgrade the wheels on my AWD IS350 a few years ago from the stock square setup to the staggered F-sport wheels they put on the RWD. They said they do not recommend a staggered setup if the vehicle was originally equipped with a square setup as it has not been tested by Lexus/Toyota for longevity and reliability.

That is a typical corporate response. Being in the software industry, whenever a client calls me and ask about whether our software will work with a certain setup, OS, configuration, etc. we also respond that we have never tested it in these setups but it doesn't mean it won't work. However, we cannot provide support for a set up other than the ones we've already outlined, confirmed and committed to.

So many folks have had no problems with staggered setups on the AWD drivetrain that it seems like the post-dealer community has tested it and given it a

It wont be a problem as long as you pick the correct tire sizes and are as close to the same rolling diameter as possible. For 20" wheels, you have (2) options - 235/35/20 & 275/30/20 or 245/35/20 & 285/30/20. I kinda feel like if you go outside of these numbers then you should proceed at your own risk. There are people that have gone a size up or a size down on one of these sizes and been fine but personally I wouldn't risk it.

I think homeboy got it right, these sizes seem to be a proven set up for the 4th gen GS.

Default Staggered on AWD

Yes, the staggered setup works on an AWD. I ran 235/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears with no check engine light. They are nearly identical in circumference and the difference is really no more than a normal difference tire diameter caused by variances in inflation pressure.

Is there a performance difference with using a wider-rear?
