Default Activating Auto High Beam?

Ok I can't seem to get auto high beam to work. Instructions says to switch headlight to high beam after pressing the high beam button. What step am I missing here? Do I turn the headlight switch to the highest setting or do I press on the lever to turn on my high beams? I tried both ways but still couldn't figure it out.

Thanks

I believe the stalk must be in auto, the auto high beams switch activated, and pushing the headlight stalk away from you, as if you're putting it in the permanent high beam state.

oh wow. I never knew that the stalk could move in the opposite direction. Will try it out tomorrow.
Thanks

Negative. I don't think it was available until the '16 refresh smh. I'm not sure if the older luxury/hybrid models had it or not though.

My GS does not have them buy my Highlander does. I don't really find it a useful feature. Sure it's nice every now and then, but I am not able to use my high-beams that often as there's always so much traffic around. Perhaps more useful in more of a rural setting.

One time I flashed my high beams with headlights off and a soccer mom in a Sienna got pissed and threw me the finger.

I just wanted to see the cool lightning-like effects on the street signs.
