Is dealer 20K mile maintenace worth it?
Called Cerritos Lexus and they quoted 20K maintenance for $239 with Synthetic oil change or $119 for just Synthetic oil change.
Replace cabin air filter
Has anyone done this maintenance? How much you guys paid for this service? Or $119 for just Synthetic oil change even worth it or should I buy oil/filter and do it myself?
Any thought/input might be appreciated.
Replace cabin air filter
Replace engine oil and oil filter (0W-20)
Rotate tires (Applies to models with the same size front and rear tires and wheels.)

If that's too expensive, check your dealer's website for any coupons. Usually they have 15-20% off somewhere, or just ask the service advisor to add whatever discount they can (10-15% off).
You can always just order parts from websites at significant discounts and do everything yourself, but is it really worth your time? If you really want to save some money and willing to put in a little time and effort, just get the oil change done so you don't have to worry about proper disposal of the used oil and filters, and order the cabin air filter online and change it yourself. They will inspect the brake stuff for you anyways during the oil change as a part of their multipoint inspection that they do on every car brought into the service bay. Don't forget to input it on your Lexus Drivers account so it shows that you are maintaining the car.
FYI...if you think the 20K service is bad, wait until the 30K service...

I you have a trustworthy dealership nearby that has a reputable service department, then its not a lot of money-just depends on your preferences.
For my last service, I bought OEM cabin/air filters from a Lexus dealership on-line and changed them myself. Bought PIAA wiper blades off Amazon and installed myself. Purchased mobil synthetic oil from Walmart and had my local mechanic do the oil change and had them do a once-over on general items like wheel/tire wear/brake wear and a road test. Although the cost savings was minimal (maybe saved $50-$60), I knew EXACTLY who was doing the work, when it was being done and with the stuff I supplied...only went this route b/c my previous service experiences w/Lexus dealerships in my area were sub-par.
Maybe even check a good local Toyota dealership to see what they might charge for the same servicing - their labor rates are usually a bit better and definitely have access to the same parts!

I would ask for the price of the items that need to be done (oil change, filters, etc.) individually. The other stuff (visual inspections) they will do anyway once they have your car. They will always look for ways to make additional income so it is in their best interest to inspect these items anyway.

Longo has $99 coupon for oil change full synthetic. Beside that i would buy other filters myself and change it. Take 5 minutes max. Btw songoku u paint your caliber how hard is it for you to switch out the filters and wiperblade insert lolz. I would prefer inser over costco or walmart wiper. Had bad experience with both. OEM ftw.

Wow that seems real high! Tires for the 4GS usually run about $700-$1100 for all 4 with maybe another $150-$200 for mounting/balancing/road force balancing at a reputable local wheel and tire shop...
