Default Who here has a Lexus GS Premium?

I think I made a mistake with the GS I purchased, I kind of feel like my GS is rather "base" since my car is the Premium level. Having said that I feel like not too many people opt for the lowest level package on the GS, can anyone prove me wrong? Who here has one, and do you enjoy it (enough features/tech)?

The Premium package GS come fairly well-equipped. What features do you lack that's making you feel this way?

On the road, I see way more Premium GS than F-sport and Luxury GS. There are quite a few on this forum too; just look at the Introduction thread at the top.

Perhaps I am used to the wood wheel in the RX350, but I feel that having a non- F sport without a wood wheel feels a little silly. I also wouldn't have minded the ML system and perhaps HUD. Although this is my fault as I could've looked for one with all this.

But you're right, the GS is pretty well equipped "base" compared to other cars out there, just feel as if the GS could use some more options to attribute to where it is on the car market hierarchy.

Isn't Premium the base model though?

Luxury > Sport > Premium?

Luxury, Premium, and F Sport are all packages that are added to the base. So when a "Premium" trim is mentioned on here, it's referring to a base model with the premium package.

 Premium Package
 Heated/ventilated front seats
 Power rear sunshade
 Rain-sensing wipers
The Luxury Package includes the Premium Package:

 Luxury Package (GS 350 only)
 Includes all contents of Premium Package plus:
 18-way power front driver seats (includes power mid-back, side bolsters, thigh support, four-way
lumbar)
 Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS)
 Adaptive Variable Suspension with Sport S+ mode
 Driver/Passenger seat memory system
 LED foglamps
 Luxury unique design 19-inch mesh wheels with machined finish
 Luxury exclusive Laser Cut Wood ornamentation
 Rear Climate and Audio controls
 Rear manual side sun shades
 Semi-aniline leather seating trim in Chateau, Black or Noble Brown
 Wood/leather steering wheel
As does the F Sport Package:

 F SPORT
 Includes all contents of Premium Package plus:
 16-way power sport driver seat (includes power side bolsters, thigh support, four-way lumbar)
 19-inch staggered width split five-spoke wheels with machined finish; summer tires for RWD, single
width with all-season tires for AWD
 F SPORT badging (side and rear)
 F SPORT tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) with Sport S+ mode
 Larger front brakes with hi-friction pads (RWD only)
 Rear lip spoiler
 F SPORT interior including: striated aluminum trim, F SPORT aluminum pedals and door scuff plates,
unique perforated leather trim (Rioja Red, Flaxen or Black) and black headliner
 F SPORT front bumper and rear lower valence
 F SPORT mesh front grille inserts
 Naguri aluminum trim
 Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) (RWD and 350 only)
 Available with Cold Weather Package

The GS 350 Base model almost always includes the Navigation Package, and most GS 350 models also include the Premium Package (noted below), plus the four commonly added individual options of Blind Spot Monitor, Intuitive Park Assist, 18" Wheels and Accessory Package.

The Premium Package adds:
Rain-sensing Wipers
Heated and Ventilated Front Seats
Power Rear Sunshade

Commonly added individual options (along with the Premium Package):
Blind Spot Monitor
Intuitive Park Assist
18" Wheels
Accessory Package (Trunk Mat & Net, Wheel Locks & Rear Bumper Applique)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Less commonly added package/option:
Cold Weather Package
Mark Levinson Sound System
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rarely added options:
Pre-Collision System
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Lane Keep Assist
Heads-up Display
Lexus Night View System (Discontinued)

I have a base/premium AWD GS350 with the Premium/Cold Weather packages and enjoy it. My primary reason for purchasing was feelin' cramped in my previous IS which I owned for about a year before getting into a GS.

I had an opportunity to get a silver F-Sport or a Black Lux model (even test drove both of them). Cost was a big factor for me as well - at the time they wanted a very "premium" price for an F-Sport or Lux. I wasn't a fan of the interior of the F-Sport with the aluminum trim - the Lux interior was very nice and the Front seats were amazingly comfy in my opinion.

But, with the money I saved, i added my own personal touches/mods to make the car the way I wanted it. I have no regrets but it seems like you may settled for something other than what you truly wanted...

I love the addition of Lexus Safety System Plus (about $650). My 2015 did not have it, I think it is definitely worth it. Most of the remaining 2016 F Sport I found in SoCal have this option.

Does the 2016 GS350 non-F have fog lamps? Mine does not and I have the Luxury package.

I believe the non-F sport Lux and Base model '16 and '17 GS's have a small chrome strip at either end of the front bumper...No fog lights. I believe non-US versions of the GS get OEM fogs:

the first time you jump into your car on a hot SoCal day, you would wonder what the hell were you thinking buying a wood wheel...

Could you get the rear seat controls or wood trim in a F Sport GS350?

Not an option from the factory, but you could add it yourself (it would probably cost a lot though).

makes sense. I do have vertical chrome strips. I didn't see fog lamps as option in brochure either or mention of them in owners manual.

According to the 2016 GS Product Information sheet, the LED fog lights are included in the Luxury Package.

http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...specs.download
 Luxury Package (GS 350 only)
 Includes all contents of Premium Package plus:
 18-way power front driver seats (includes power mid-back, side bolsters, thigh support, four-way
lumbar)
 Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS)
 Adaptive Variable Suspension with Sport S+ mode
 Driver/Passenger seat memory system
LED foglamps
 Luxury unique design 19-inch mesh wheels with machined finish
 Luxury exclusive Laser Cut Wood ornamentation
 Rear Climate and Audio controls
 Rear manual side sun shades
 Semi-aniline leather seating trim in Chateau, Black or Noble Brown
 Wood/leather steering wheel
But the 2016 GS brochure, does not list them as part of the package, so I have no idea...
