That is the tire I originally ordered from discount tire and they were giving me a smoking deal to boot...they were price matching tire rack.

they were able to track down the rears, but no luck on the fronts...continental says the dw is discontinued

The first time I tried out some DWS tires, I haven't found a better tire.

The test on tirerack's site had phenomenal results for traction and not to mention how quiet they are.

I just had a set of DWS 06 installed on my wife's 3 series and they are still amazing.

Once I decide on a set of aftermarket wheels for my GS, you already know what I will be stretching them on.

Yes, DWS 06 245/40/19 all around on my 2016 F Sport, though mine is AWD, so it was not staggered at any time. Not sure if you are asking about RWD only. Love 'em.

I just put new Michelin AS3+ on my 2015. Was leaning towards the P7 (comfort and noise level as my top priorities) but went with the Michelin tires. They were a little less expensive to begin with, had a $70 mail in rebate and a 40K/mi treadwear warranty. There was still a lot of tread left on the Bridgestone units but i just couldn't bear the noise and/or harshness any longer. Discount Tire offers a 30-day guarantee. The Rep told me if I didn't love the Michelins, come back in a couple of weeks and they would give me full credit towards the P7 tires.

I've only driven them about five miles in the rain, so it's way too early to tell. Fingers crossed!

Sounds like the continental dws is preferred over the pirelli p7...man i am conflicted here!

BTW, we put the DWS on the wife's 2010 GL550 and LOVE THEM. Quieter than the Continentals, less money and a treadwear warranty.

Have a set of DWS 06 sitting in my dining room waiting to be mounted. Maybe this weekend I'll get around to taking care of that and can leave my feedback on em. Quite excited for them based on everything I've read so far.

It's honestly a really big toss up. The DWSs should be a little bit more sporty than the P7s though. It all depends on what you're looking for. I made a thread awhile back to try to get some feedback on which one to choose, but I ended up just sticking with the P7s because one.. majority of the time spent on the road for me will be on the freeway or stuck in traffic due to my long commute to and from work. P7s are probably a little bit more comfortable and have a little less road noise than the DWSs, but you'd have to be pretty sensitive about it for it to really bother you. The sidewalls on the P7s are fairly soft though. You'll feel the roll when you hit corners and turns a little hard. Better MPG on the P7's though. Not anything really significant, but probably around 1-2 MPG saved depending on how you drive too. P7s are great in the rain. Never had a moment where they'd slip and felt the same as driving in dry weather. Haven't had a chance to test them in the snow though.

People seem to say that if you have snow then it may be better to go with the DWSs because they have exceptional traction in the snow. The P7s aren't bad, but they aren't as good as the DWSs in that department. P7s also have a longer warranty and will for sure last longer. All in all.. you won't regret picking either. It's mainly just personal preference.. if I do end up needing new tires later down the line with this car.. I'll try out the DWSs, but that won't be for awhile. If you can get either of them for a good chunk cheaper than the other.. then just pick the cheaper one. They were around the same price for me so I just picked the P7s.


It's hard to find people who have tried out both because both tires have a pretty long treadlife. Especially the P7s

I have the F Sport RWD and use the car as my company car. Lol! I put a lot of miles on the car so I might try one or the other but not stagger them so hopefully they'll last longer and the warranty won't be an issue. I don't need them yet but in the next couple months for sure.
