Default Carpet vs Rubber Floor Mats

I just got a 2016 GS 350 F Sport and I am thinking about switching to rubber floor mats. I live in Texas so snow/mud is not a problem, unless I go out to the ranch, but I always thought that they would be easier to clear.

That said, which do you guys prefer and why?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

All weather mats are much better, especially with the snow we get in the north east. Simple to clean, just hit with with a brush and a hose and they'll look brand new. Carpet looks nice but gets dirty and worn quickly depending on the interior color.

Enjoy the car, I have the same one but AWD.

Carpet mats definitely! Rubber mats look cheap in a Lexus in my opinion, even the factory ones.

Weather-Tech brand is better! I have the Lexus rubber and carpeted floor mats and prefer my WTech's, they protect the carpet much better than either floor mat. They are super easy to clean and not very expensive. Also you don't have to vacuum the carpet as often.

Weather tech are crazy expensive. Nice but stupidly priced.

That being said, I have both. Carpets installed when the ambient weather is warm and rubber installed for the fall/winter months. Both do their justice. Both look fine.

I went with weather techs also even bought the trunk mat just in case of an accidental spill. Love them as the fit was perfect and they protect really well. I live in Northern California so I plan to use the weather tech until the summer and switch back to the carpet. IMO carpet looks nicer but I bought the car and plan to keep it awhile and want the carpet to last.

I like the convenience of all weather very easy to clean and all but I don't like the feel and look of it, thats why it's been sitting in my garage. I'm in Dallas and I deal with the dust on the carpets by vacuuming once a week.

If that is you want All weather mat fits well and better. I have two sets of carpet mat. When one gets dirty install clean one, wash dirty one at car wash and keep it for next switch over.
Some rubber mats are slippery when wet which SWMBO complains Specially when they wear hills...

I vacuum often too when it is needed, but between times I just unclip the floor mats and beat them clean by hand a couple times. It takes less than a minute per side.

There u go ðŸ‘ðŸ», I actually just realized that I have a set of all weather mats sitting for the IS250 and I never use it. I do use it on the GX sometimes when it's raining cas of the tan interior it's gets stained very easily.

I bought a pair for the front for 120 bucks, that's not crazy expensive IMHO! They cover the carpet much better than the all weather mats.

I have Weather Techs and they are worth every penny. I leave them in year-round.
