Default How to repair the scratched plastic of the horn

Hey guys,

I am new here. I've been looking around this GS area and there were a lot of helpful information.

So my horn has a few scratch on the plastic, not really deep. I was wondering is there any way to fix it?

Thank you!

Anyway, sad to say I don't think those scratches are fixable to where you won't see them, short of replacing that cover. Others may know of some way to reduce their visibility, but on that material in that location, I do not.
Thank you for your advice! I might just replace the cover later.

And yeah it's really cool right now and even more cooler next week, below 0F lol

Try warming the horn area with a hair dryer and apply a small amount of smooth peanut butter and massage it in with your finger tips. Don't make a mess with it, just apply it where the scratches are. Apply more heat as necessary and allow the warm oil from the peanut butter to work itself into the material and hopefully get rid of those light surface scratches. One complete application and removal should tell you if it works, or not. It's worth a try...
