Default S/S+ Mode Graphic 2016

I just noticed that on my new 2016 GS350 F Sport, when the car is put into S or S+ mode, the main 12” Nav screen changes to red and says Sport or Sport+, but there is no graphic/picture showing the drive train or suspension parts affected (like my prior GS showed)? Is this normal for 2016 F Sport? The reason I’m asking is because it’s hard to tell from the feel of the car if the drive modes are even working? So I’m wondering if something is wrong with the whole drive mode system? I'd be interested what your cars show if you have a 2016 F Sport.

Go play around with the settings in the car, you can put the graphic on if you want to.

Thanks guys for the replies. Yes, I've concluded from the above responses and from some demos I've seen on youtube that they removed the graphic starting 2016. No big deal!

What concerns me more is why I feel little or no difference when I put my 2016 F Sport into S or S+ mode. On my prior GS (non F) there was a major difference between Normal and S. On the new car, little difference between Normal, S, or S+. Maybe they beefed up Normal and toned down S and S+ on 2016? Anyone else notice this?

On non F-sport cars, changing the car into Sport S mode only changes the throttle and steering weight; no changes to the suspension. Adaptive variable suspension is only offered on F-sport and Luxury package. On your 2016 F-sport, you should feel the throttle become more sensitive in Sport S mode. In Sport S+ mode, you will feel the steering become heavier and the suspension becomes stiffer in addition to increased throttle response.

I always drive in Sport S+ mode because I like the heavier steering and increased throttle response. The ride comfort isn't too different so I put up with it.

Thanks. Yes, you've stated how it is supposed to work perfectly. Hence my question. On my 2016 I do not notice much, if any changes, between normal, S, S+.

I'm not sure what you're looking for...the changes between modes are subtle. The suspension isn't going to become sports car-like. Do you notice the difference in steering weight? The ECU will learn your driving style over time and make adjustments. I noticed every time when I get a new car, the car feels sluggish (even between modes) as I don't put too much throttle to ease the break-in. Then after 850-1000 miles I tend to drive in a more vigorous manner which kinda wakes up the car.
