Default GS450h: Tires Michelin Primacy MXM4 P235/45R18

Friends,

I need to replace the tires on my GS450h, Michelin Primacy MXM4 P235/45R18. I like the MXM4 tires, and would like to keep that type.

The tires cost $290 each ($311 installed). Does anyone know of a better price (I live in Northern, VA)? I want to make sure these are "new" tires, and not some tire warehouse stock that have been sitting on the shelves for 10 years!

Thanks,

TV

Have you checked out Costco? I get a number of tires from there and have been pretty pleased with them.

Check Tirerack too. They can ship them directly to a local installer. I've bought from Tirebuyer.com in the past also and great service.

I got it installed in Costco when there was a promotion for Michelin at the end of Oct. and I paid $1050 for MXM4 P235 40R 19. It took them a week to get it shipped into the store though.

You may want to check out the new Michelin Premier A/S (08729) 245/45R18 100V XL BSW - 640AAV (60,000 Mile, 6-Year Limited Warranty)

I always buy from tire rack Gud prices and also provide road hazard warranty for free.

I love the tires on my hybrid too! So far i have found Costco to be the cheapest with lifetime wheel balance and rotation, handy for our non-staggered setup.

Noooooooooooooo DO NOT GET THESE.. these came with my car when I bought them. I made a thread a while back in regards to what happened with them. To sum it all up.. they are prone to premature cracking and the quality and performance of these tires degrade over time, up to the point where the ride quality sucks. I'd recommend either

Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus (for fuel economy, comfort, luxurious/softer ride)

OR

Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 (for a more sporty/stiffer ride, grip, traction in all conditions, etc
