Any recommendations on how to arrange the folders? One folder for the artist, sub-folder under that for album, and put the songs in the album folders? Or will it be cumbersome to navigate?

Be advised, it's not just the folders you create that sort the music. It's also the music file's properties. For example: I only created a single folder for Tony Bennett; however when the USB is inserted and the music categorized it automatically created a folder named something like Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga. I had to edit the songs' properties to get it to be in the folder i wanted.

You just described how I have things set up. When I want to search, I use the Artist tab(s).

I am currently using a 64GB stick, I've also used a 256GB stick with no issues as well. I didnt notice any speed differences, they both need to initialize with the vehicle every time you start vehicle.

+1 for the 64GB stick.
In the root directory of the USB stick, I have all the folders setup by Artists:
Within the Artists folders I have sub folders for each album:
I used iTunes to edit the appropriate fields (properties) to ensure the songs stayed in the folders I decided on. It was a little bit of a "trial and error" process. First I sorted everything as I wanted (on the USB). Once installed in my car (and after everything indexed), I noticed a few "new" folders were created (in the car, not on the USB). I made note of those folders and moved the UBS back to my PC. I located the songs that were creating the additional folders (most were duets) and accessed them via iTunes. Updated the properties (in iTunes) to reflect what I needed, reinserted in the car and checked for other changes/additions.
Now that everything is set, I sort by Artist, select the Artist and the album folders all appear.

From CD to 24/96 DVD Audio? Is there a free program that can rip to this, does it work with any type of DVD media (+R, -R, RW), and how many songs can fit on a DVD?
