From Lexus to Audi, and now back to Lexus
Not sure if I was a member of this board back when I had a 2007 ES350, but these boards have always been helpful, and helped with my recent purchase, so thank you all.

Congrats! Can you provide some details about your new ride and/or share some pictures?
I'm curious if you got a RWD or a AWD since you're in MD. I definitely agree. This is a great forum and a great resource. There is a TON of information about the 4GS already posted in this sub-forum if you ever need it - just need to use the "search this forum" feature

I bought a 2014 GS350-F with 29,000 miles on it, Nebula Gray exterior/ox blood red interior, lol. I have AWD with the winter package, but not the luxury package. It pretty has everything i need, and more. I have some questions im hoping someone can answer (and yes, ive searched the boards).
When i had my last Lexus i always had it serviced at the Toyota dealership, is there a downside to that?
Ive successfully connected my android phone to the car, however...if i turn the car off, the next time i return to the car the phone doesnt automatically connect. When i go into the menu, i can see the phone, but even when i select it the phone doesnt connect. I have to hit the "add new" button and then the "carmultimedia" in my bluetooth settings on the phone. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks in advance.

Just curious which Audi model you had, and why you came back to Lexus? I traded a '13 GS F-Sport for a '15 S5. Now I have a '17 A4. I love my Audi, but I also loved my GS. Both great cars.

No downside in having oil changes done at Toyota. For everything else however, I would take the car to Lexus. Your previous car was really a Camry in disguise, so the techs at Toyota were more familiar with it. GS is a different animal.

Thanks SNiiP3R.
deseag2, i absolutely loved the Audi. I had a 2010 A5 3.2, but i had a little over 100,000 miles on it and it started to nickel and dime me with repair costs. I really had no issues with the car until about 90lk miles, that's when i started having some electrical problems. Ill miss the Audi, but i will not miss the costly routine maintenance (if you dont have audicare). I almost laughed when i took my car to the GS to Lexus and they said that the 30k maintenance service is a "major" one and will costs $400....i almost said "THAT'S ALL??!?!". I had grown accustomed to paying crazy prices for routine maintenance. I also needed a bigger vehicle because i need the space since my little one is getting bigger.

Where in MD are you? If you're in the D.C. area don't take it to Toyota, I'll give you the name of my independent mechanic. He's in Rockville, he was a Lexus master tech for 16 years before he struck out on his own and opened his shop. It's just him, his sister and a couple of techs, they do a great job and are much cheaper than the dealer, uses all OEM fluids and parts...

I will send you a PM now! I think I know what Audi mechanic you used, I had tires installed there from TireRack a long time ago. That's also a great shop, you'll like my guy too.

Congrats on the GS gadgeeets. I considered the A7, but then i went through the spreadsheet where i kept all of my Audi maintenance expenses and said "no thanks!"
